-
What type of roofing services does SunTex Roofing and Reconstruction provide?
-
SunTex Roofing provides all types of residential roofing and commercial roofing services throughout Texas.
These roofing services include complete roof replacements, new construction roof installation, roof repairs, and gutter repair & installation.
-
What are common signs that I may need a new roof?
-
Of the many signs that could indicate a new replacement is needed, the most common is shingle damage, from missing, cracked, or curled shingles, to wind or hail damage.
Others include missing or rusted flashing, leaks or stains on interior walls or ceilings, mold growth anywhere inside your home, or ceramic granules found in your gutters.
If your roof is around 15 years old or older, a free inspection by a certified SunTex Roofing inspector is highly recommended.
-
How do I know if I need a new roof or roof repair only?
-
Sometimes, an inspection will only result in the discovery of one or two minor issues where the roof has still protected the integregrity of the interior of your home.
In this case, if your roof is relatively new, replacing a few shingles, or some shingle lining may do the trick.
If multiple issues are detected, especially as a result of storm and/or hail damage, and water is making it's way through the roof in multiple areas, then a roof replacement is most likely needed.
Long-term protection and prevention of further issues is the most important aspect of making the decision between repair and replacement.
If your roof is 20 years or older, and in an area with heavy storms and regular hail, then a new roof is almost always the best option.
-
What are the main reasons my roof is leaking?
-
Roof leaks are generally caused by storm and wind damage to the shingles and flashing surrounding the entire roof, venting, and/or chimney.
This can also be the result of poor or cheap installation. Misaligned or low-grade materials will break down faster and innevitably lead to leaks.
Hail is also incredibly destructive, and a single hailstorm will most likely result in immediate signs of water leakage, or will break the roof materials down across the entire area of the roof leading to innevitable leakage in the near future.
-
How long will it take SunTex Roofing to install my new roof?
-
Generally, our highly experienced roofing team will get the job done in a single day.
The crew and materials will arrive at your home by 6:30 AM, and after an assessment of the materials and unique aspects of your roof, they will begin efficiently removing the old materials, and installing the new roof.
